A Christ Apostolic Church minister, Oluwarotimi Akinroyeje, has been shot dead at the congregation's main goal house in the Ago Gbooro range of Ore, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
An onlooker, who requested that not be named, said a conceal shooter went into the mission house at around 1am on Thursday and went straight to where the minister was, and shot him at short proximity with a privately made weapon.
The observer said the intention behind the murdering was obscure, including that the attacker did not take anything from the minister in the wake of slaughtering him.
"The man, who wore a cover, went into the mission house amidst the night and drew out a privately made firearm. He shot the minister dead and did not take anything when he was going; he quite recently executed him and left," he said.
Affirming the episode, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph, said that the charge had started examination concerning the case.
He, nonetheless, affirmed that the perished's relatives were not coordinating with the order on examination, saying they had declined to respect police welcome.
He stated: "The group of the expired ought to do well to participate with the police. They have not been helping us in our examination; their exclusive concern is for us to discharge the body to them for internment.
"It will be great if the family can bolster us with valuable data. We are not mystical performers; it is from the data we understand that we can have our lead and capture the culprit.
"What the family is doing on the issue isn't adequate."
