The Nigerian Army on Tuesday expelled as "misrepresentation", charged killing of 30 troops by Islamic State (ISIS) in a snare on troops occupied with the counter-rebellion battle in the North-East.
An area of the media revealed that ISIS had trapped and killed 30 Nigerian troops on Friday in the locale.
Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations,Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole, put forth the dissent in an announcement issued in Maiduguri.
Nwachikwu said that in spite of the report, there were no such assault on troops of operation Lafiya Dole by ISIS or some other foe inside or outside the performance center of operation.
He said that the report was another arrangement of media purposeful publicity and an endeavor by the Boko Haram psychological militants to stay important and depict appearing strength.
He clarified that the composed report was unconfirmed and needed validity.
"The realistic pictures used to help the article were firmly examined and needed nexus to any current operational engagements of Operation Lafiya Dole.
"It is extremely correlated to express that the photos winnowed were not an impression of late operational experiences of Operation Lafiya Dole," he said.
Nwachukwu said that there was neither experience between the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole With ISIS fear based oppressors nor had they endured such imaginary assault as asserted.
He expelled the said article and realistic pictures as "heap of amateurishly bundled deception, intended to mislead and make fear in the general population and manufacture an air of false power around the psychological militants''.
The Spokesperson focused on that the troops had maintained crushing assaults on the Boko Haram radicals in forerunner operations in the auditorium of operation.
"Aside from killing their dens on the edges of the Nigerian-Nigerien outskirt through facilitated air and big guns bombardments, troops as of late murdered 2 escaping Boko Haram psychological militants in a snare at Futchinam town in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe.
"The troops likewise murdered 3 agitators in another snare in Lingir town where they recouped 5 AK-47 rifles, 5 magazines and 11 rounds of 7.62mm (exceptional) ammo.
"Troops have commanded the auditorium of operation and have denied Boko Haram psychological militants flexibility of activity," Nwachukwu said .
