A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and previous legislative head of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has demanded that the South East area is being underestimated. 

President Muhammadu Buhari had in a meeting with Igbo pioneers a week ago, expressed that the area isn't underestimated in any frame. 

Be that as it may, handling inquiries from AIT concerning issues emerging from the locale, the previous senator kept up that "The South-East is underestimated." 

Kalu said despite the fact that he was prepared in the North, he was not perplexed of talking reality about the state of the Igbos. 

He included, "I can disclose to you this: I was prepared by the Hausa/Fulani individuals, however I am not anxious of talking reality. The South is genuinely minimized and that is reality. 

"No one say that the South-East isn't underestimated. Since the finish of the common war, the treatment allotted on the South-East is unique, luxuries given to individuals from the South-East is extraordinary. 

"In the event that anybody says anything opposite, expedite him and I will disclose to him why we are underestimated. 

"The present government should take a gander at its arrangements; it should take a gander at who gets what and adjust it. It doesn't sound great that you have benefit boss with non from the South-East. 

"Regardless of who is the president, VP or Senate president and you don't have one Igbo holding a position, I mean a real position among the administration boss, it isn't right in any way. 

"Whatever merits doing merits doing admirably. As an individual from the APC, have you made any move to accomplish what you just said? Obviously, I've been making moves."
