Zimbabwe’s Vice-President, Emmerson Mnangagwa has been removed from office.
Information Minister, Simon Khaya Moyo disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
According to him, 75-year-old Mnangagwa has “traits of disloyalty” to blame for his sack.
According to BBC, President Robert Mugabe’s wife Grace intends to follow in her husband’s footsteps as leader of Zimbabwe following the Vice president’s sack.
Earlier President Mugabe had threatened to sack Mnangagwa.
Simon Khaya Moyo said: “Mr Mnangagwa’s conduct in discharge of his duties is inconsistent with the responsibilities.
“The Vice-President has exhibited traits of disloyalty.”
Mr Mnangagwa, had been a leading candidate to succeed President Mugabe.
