Uproar as the killing of Nigerians continues in South Africa


The Nigerian mission in South Africa has affirmed the slaughtering of a 25-year-old Nigerian, Ibrahim Badmus, a local of Lagos State. 

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the slaughtering happened not as much as seven days after Jelili Omoyele, a 35 year – old PDA specialist was shot dead at Doornfontein, close Johannesburg. 

Godwin Adama, Nigeria`s Consul General (CG) in South Africa, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the phone from Johannesburg that Badmus was purportedly killed on Tuesday at Vaal Vreneging, close Johannesburg. 

"Data available to us said that the expired was slaughtered by a South African cop. 

"I drove a designation from the mission to visit the scene on receipt of the data. When we arrived the scene, the place was worried on the grounds that Nigerians there were not upbeat," he said. 

Mr. Adama said that the mission mediated and quieted down the circumstance. 

"We instantly met with the Station Commander in the territory with some chose Nigerians. The police guaranteed that an intensive examination would be done. 

"The examination will be finished by the Independent Police Investigating Department," he said. 

As indicated by the CG, a post-mortem examination will be done while examination on the slaughtering is on. 

Mr. Adama said that the mission asked Nigerians in the region to be quiet and honest. 

Numerous Nigerians have been murdered in xenophobic assaults in South Africa. 

Nigerians have charged the government for not doing what's necessary to secure its nationals abroad.
