An ex-convict, Abibat Oyesanya and two others, Morenike Shittu and Olubunmi Funke, have been arrested by the men of the Ogun State Police Command for alleged child’s stealing and kidnapping in the state.

The state police commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, while parading the suspects alongside 29 others, at the Command’s Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta,  on Tuesday, said the main suspect, Oyesanya, had been convicted and sentenced to prison for similar offences and was freed having completed her jail term.

The suspects who perpetrated their evil acts around Mowe-Ibafo area were alleged to have been responsible for child’s stealing and kidnappings in the area.

However, Oyesanya, 51, who hails from Ago-Iwoye, denied to have been convicted of a similar offence, but acknowledged the fact that she engaged in illegal orphanage home business.
The suspect claimed to have worked in an orphanage home as a cleaner in Lagos State before setting up her own orphanage home.

She told newsmen that her accomplice, Funke Olubunmi, had brought one of her children to her and that the child was sold for N300,000 to a policewoman whose whereabouts could not be traced.
Oyesanya told newsmen that she gave Olubunmi a cash sum of N280,000 as payment for the child.

Olubunmi, a s3x hawker, did not deny selling her child to Oyesanya, saying the proceeding was used to offset debt incurred as a result of surgical operation she underwent.
She also admitted the stealing of a three-year-old girl at Oju-Irin, in Bodija area of Ibadan.

Also, two suspects, Ibikunle  Sunday and one Darasimi Rotimi were paraded for the alleged murder of Sarah Olowokere in Sango-Ota.

The suspects were said to have butchered the deceased, removed some parts and buried her remains somewhere around Alafia Street off Alagbole, Ijoko-Ota.

However, Rotimi, a pastor at Jehovah Jireh Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ijoko, denied any involvement in the murder of the young lady while  Sunday insisted that they both carried out the act with another friend now at large.

Other suspects paraded were arrested for various offences such as armed robbery, highway robbery, vandals among other criminal activities.
