Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu's family responds to 'recuperation of weapons' in IPOB pioneer's home

NNAMDI KANU

The family of pioneer of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has dismissed guarantees by Abia Commissioner of Police, Anthony Ogbizi that police recouped deadly weapons when, in a joint exercise with the Army, assaulted their compound at Afara Ukwu on October 8.

Kanu's family representative, Emmanuel Kanu, told newsmen by phone that if any weapon found inside the premises more likely than not been planted by security agents.

The family blamed Ogbizi for manufacturing the story to legitimize the "illegal raid" and furthermore to show up as though he was working.

His words: "This new CP was a similar man who went to our home two days after the September 14 attack with two Hilux vans and his Prado SUV and pulled down the auto patio and crushed the vehicles stopped outside.

"This same CP swiftly after the attack on the October 8, issued an official statement telling the entire world that they found bombs in my home. The armed force then again, denied that there was no intrusion and that they never went to my home, what a logical inconsistency.

"A house that there has not been any individual inside aside from our watch who we made a request to take care of the house, out of the blue they attacked the house and returned to state they found a nook firearm, twofold barrel weapon and oil bomb. Who fabricated them? Who kept them there? That is the thing to ask."

"The policemen went to our home and scoured the whole compound including my mum and my dad's rooms, evacuating my mum's cases, our TV and generator sets, sacks of rice and numerous individual things without realizing that we had a CCTV recording their exercises in the house.

"But when they got piece of information about the CCTV and with a specific end goal to prepare whatever that they would present to the general population to mark our family terrible, they returned and expelled the CCTV from where they were hung.

"I am advising the global group to win on this individuals. What the Police and other security organizations are doing in my home, my group, in my state and the whole Biafran Land is insidious. Unmistakably out of distress, they are attempting to cover their tracks and they have fizzled.

"It's not possible for anyone to label IPOB a fear based oppressor association. We don't convey arms and arms never illuminated any question. They ought to draw in IPOB initiative really. We are not brutal. We don't give life and we can't take one. They have rubbished the name of the nation called Nigeria, that is the reason we are called Biafrans.

"They attacked the house and took away the CCTV now they said that they found petroleum bomb and whatever is left of it, when we had just a single individual in the house. How conceivable is that? Who planted them?"

Kanu additionally expressed, "If Ogbizi was serving in his Cross River State, he wouldn't have attacked the castle of the Obong of Calabar under any pretense the way he strikes my dad's royal residence and bragged he would assault it once more, this can just occur in Igbo arrive.

"What's more, given me a chance to disclose to you something, the reason they evacuated the previous CP (Adeleye Oyebade) was that he realized that IPOB has been peaceful in their exercises and he remained in favor of truth, he declined to be traded off that was the reason they expelled him and brought this one from Cross River State who is on a mission he will never fulfill."
