The family of pioneer of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has dismissed guarantees by Abia Commissioner of Police, Anthony Ogbizi that police recouped deadly weapons when, in a joint exercise with the Army, assaulted their compound at Afara Ukwu on October 8.
Kanu's family representative, Emmanuel Kanu, told newsmen by phone that if any weapon found inside the premises more likely than not been planted by security agents.
The family blamed Ogbizi for manufacturing the story to legitimize the "illegal raid" and furthermore to show up as though he was working.
